Cardiff Half Marathon 2019

Event: Cardiff Half Marathon 2019

Date Held: October 6th, 2019

Venue: Cardiff

Contact: Prostate Cymru

For the fifth consecutive year, Prostate Cymru has joined forces with Cardiff Half Marathon as one of its featured charities. The half marathon is Wales’ largest road race with thousands of entrants taking part each year. The predominately flat course makes it ideal for both beginners and elites.

The 13.1 mile route takes runners past the capital’s most iconic landmarks with beautiful scenery and historic buildings. The race starts outside Cardiff Castle and runners then head down past Cardiff City Stadium on the way to Penarth. Runners take in the glorious Penarth Marina before crossing the barrage and heading to Cardiff Bay. The race runs right through the heart of the bay taking in the Norwegian Church and Wales Millennium Centre. The course then heads towards the north of the city and runners will complete a loop of the beautiful Roath Park Lake before finishing in the heart of the city at the Civic Centre.

This year’s event, sponsored by Cardiff University, will take place on Sunday 6th October at 10:00am. Prostate Cymru has 50 charity team spaces available for runners who pledge to raise a minimum of £200 each in sponsorship. If you would like to be part of Team Prostate Cymru at this year’s Cardiff Half Marathon please email chris.leyshon@prostatecymru.com for further information.

Runners who have already registered themselves and choose to support Prostate Cymru should also contact chris.leyshon@prostatecymru.com to receive their fundraising pack including running vest.
