Celebrating 10 years since Wales won the Rugby Sevens World Cup in 2009, the winning team and guests will be at a special anniversary lunch on Friday 14th June. The event, organised by Welsh Rugby Charity Vets, will take place at Chepstow Racecourse and features a delicious meal, hospitality and a day of exciting racing. There will be seven races on the day with each race being named after one of the World Cup winning team.

Members of the squad attending include Richie Pugh, Rhys Webb, Aled Brew, Rhodri McAtee, Aled Thomas, Taliesin Selley and Lee Beach who captained the squad to victory a decade ago. Tickets for the event are £75 each or £750 for a table of 10 and can be booked directly with Chepstow Racecourse. The price includes an arrival drink, coffee & cake, a three course lunch, admission ticket, raceday programme, tipster talk and charity auction in aid of Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales.

There are also sponsorship packages available in which companies or organisations can enjoy hospitality, advertising in literature and branding across the course, a named race and awarding the trophy to the winning horse. The packages start at £2000 per race.

The lunch is part of the celebratory experience and fundraising challenge this year. In December the team are reuniting for an anniversary tour in Dubai. In addition to the team, rugby legend Shane Williams MBE will also be leading a touring party of supporters. The organisers have teamed up with Swansea based company THG Holidays to put together a fantastic package for the trip which runs from 2nd to 7th December. The package is £1399 (£200 deposit) and includes five nights at the Rove Dubai Marina, tournament tickets, a supporters kit pack, a gala dinner, sunset safari tour and return flights with Emirates.
