Gwynedd Councillors’ Sponsored Walk

Event: Gwynedd Councillors’ Sponsored Walk

Date Held: September 2nd, 2018

Organiser: Gwynedd Councillors

Venue: Caernarfon

Contact: Councillor Peter Garlick

A group of councillors in Gwynedd along with their friends have set up a charity group called “Trons Dy Dad” to raise money for Prostate Cymru and to raise awareness of prostate cancer amongst the county’s residents.

The proactive group have organised a sponsored walk which will take place on Sunday 2nd September 2018. The walk will begin at 10am and will start from the Maes in Caernarfon. There are two distances that participants can choose from. The longer distance involves walking along the Aberforeshore and back, taking walkers past the historic thirteenth century castle and along the coast. The shorter distance has been designed for those less able to walk due to age, disability and injury so that the event is accessible for all who wish to take part.

In addition to the walk, there will be entertainment on the Maes on the day of the event including stalls, live music, a barbecue and a fun football match including some famous faces! In the run up to the event, the councillors are selling Prostate Cymru pin badges and organising a series of smaller events such as quizzes.

If you would like to participate in this event please contact Councillor Peter Garlick on 07799 777035 to register. You can keep up to date will all the latest event information by following the group’s Facebook page.
