Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club are holding their annual rotary ride ‘Il Giro Di Pembrokeshire’ on 1st September this year in aid of Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales and other rotary charities. Named after the famous Italian cycle race, the Giro d’Italia, famed for its steep and difficult climbs the Pembrokeshire ride incorporates some of the county’s hills to create challenging rides.

There are four routes for participants to choose from this year: 10, 27, 50 and 75 miles. The 10 mile route is a family friendly fun ride which is always a popular route. The routes increase in difficulty as the mileage increases, with more hills and challenges for the cyclists to face. It is suggested that the new 75 mile route is for experienced club cyclists as it includes the infamous “Cake Hill”.

Entry costs are £15 for adults (over 18s), £10 for teenagers aged between twelve and seventeen and £5 for children under eleven years of age. Numbers for this event are limited to 250 people so make sure you book online early to secure your place!
