Prostate Cymru is the nominated charity for the Welsh Association of Male Choirs. The association was formed in 1962 to collectively address the needs of Male Choirs across Wales. To date the association has 67 members in Wales and a further 13 members in England and 3 overseas.

Every three years the association holds a large choir concert called ‘A Festival of Massed Male Voices’ at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The next concert is being held on Saturday 19th May 2018 in aid of Prostate Cymru. We are looking for at least twenty volunteers to attend the event to help with a bucket collection at the concert.

Volunteers will be able to watch the concert. We will be looking to arrange transport to the venue once we have a list of volunteers and an idea of where they would be travelling from. If you are interested in being part of this wonderful event please contact catherine.felton@prostatecymru.com.

The choir will be under the direction of conductor Dr Alwyn Humphreys and accompanied by Caradog Williams on the piano and Huw Tregelles Williams, the Association President, on the organ. The massed choir will be made up of the following choirs: Abertillery Orpheus, Beaufort, Bois Goetre Hen A’r Gylch. Bois Y Castell, Bois Y Felin, Côr Meibion Bro Dysynni, Burry Port, Caldicot, Cambrian, Côr Meibion De Cymru, Cwmann, Côr Meibion Dyffryn Amman, Côr Meibion Flint. Haverfordwest, Mansfield, Morriston RFC, Côr Meibion Mynydd Mawr, Ogmore Valley, Oxford Welsh, Pembroke & District, Pontnewydd, Rhayader, Rhymney Silurian, Snowdown Colliery, Swansea, Tenby, Tonna and Whitland & District. There will also be supporting artists at the event.
