The proceeds of an annual charity golf day were presented to Prostate Cymru at a special evening at Maesteg Golf Club on Friday 1st December. The organisers of the charity day and members of Maesteg Golf Club presented a cheque for £4550 to Prostate Cymru’s Catherine Felton and Becky Havard.
The annual golf day was held on Friday 14th July at Maesteg Golf Club. Organised by Gareth Holt, Kevin Grant and Chris Thomas and supported by Mr David Brace OBE, President of Prostate Cymru and Chairman of Dunraven Windows, the popular event saw over 30 teams take part in the 18-hole stableford competition.
The day ran smoothly thanks to a team of volunteers. Following the golf competition, a gala evening was held in the function room of the club. The evening featured a charity auction, raffle, music and entertainment. Former rugby player and Scrum V broadcaster Phil Steele as a guest speaker was a highlight for many of those attending the gala evening.
