Prostate Cymru’s ambassador and S4C weather presenter Chris Jones held a prostate cancer fundraising weekend in aid of Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales. The event took place at The Three Golden Cups in Southerndown over two evening: Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March.
The first evening was completely sold out and a great atmosphere filled the coastal pub. BBC journalist and presenter Lucy Owen was the quizmaster for a challenging quiz set by James Thomas. The winners received an exclusive trophy made and donated by Pyramid Stained Glass. Attendees enjoyed a delicious curry to fuel their brains and won some fantastic raffle prizes donated by local businesses and friends such as Giovanni’s Cardiff, Derek Brockway, Corgi Socks and Brains Brewery.
The second evening featured brilliant auction prizes such as framed football shirts, framed photographs and cream teas. Guests enjoyed a buffet meal ahead of the evening’s comedic talents. Entertainment was provided by Chris Davies, Tara and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist and Welsh comedian Noel James headlining the event.
