On 7th February members of the Tanygroes Welfare Committee met at the Emlyn Café in Tanygroes to present the proceeds of their fundraising to a number of charities. The proactive group presented £1300 to Prostate Cymru which was accepted with gratitude by the charity’s trustee John Daniels.
The committee raised the brilliant total by holding a monthly bingo, a monthly whist drive, a tractor run, a charity night and raffles. In December, the Emlyn Café also held a Big Breakfast event.
The Tanygroes Welfare Committee are enthusiastic fundraisers, donating a grand total of £7372, including the brilliant £1300 for Prostate Cymru, to charities this year. In the last eleven years the group has given £64,821 to different charities.
