Welcome to the big walk, 2019

Summary

Celebrating its sixth year, The Big Walk is a popular event which starts inside the iconic Principality Stadium, the largest stadium in Wales. To date 1340 walkers have taken part, raising an astounding £198,027.12 for Prostate Cymru. Over the last 5 years The Big Walk has been supported by Sam Warburton OBE, Sir Gareth Edwards CBE, Warren Gatland OBE, Gethin Jenkins, Rhys Priestland, Lloyd Ashley and Owen Teale.

Route

Our newly introduced short route or our historic long route.

Short Route (13m): From The Principality Stadium, Cardiff (Gate 3) to The Duke of Wellington, Cowbridge

Long Route (26m): From The Principality Stadium, Cardiff (Gate 3) to Kenfig Hill RFC, Bridgend

Free Transport

First 300 entrants to choose the free transport option upon registration will have transport provided from Kenfig Hill RFC, Bridgend to the Principality Stadium, Cardiff. All other entrants to meet no later than 8am at Gate 3 of the Principality Stadium. To avoid disappointment please register immediately to secure your free transportation.

Important Note: There is no transport back to The Principality Stadium, Cardiff at the short or long route finish line. Please arrange for your own transport or visit the accommodation section of our website.

Shuttle Buses

If you are participating in the Short Route (13m) which finishes at The Duke of Wellington, Cowbridge there will be scheduled shuttle buses that can drop you back to Kenfig Hill RFC, Bridgend for the afterparty.

By participating walkers are agreeing to raise a minimum of £20 in sponsorship monies that they will forward to Prostate Cymru no later than 6 weeks after the event (24th August 2019).
