Welcome to Prostate Cymru

Cowbridge Mayor’s Nominated Charity

Councillor Peter Knapp raised over £5000 for Prostate Cymru during his year in office.

Peter Knapp, the Mayor of Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town 2014 – 2015, chose Prostate Cymru as his nominated charity for the year. During his mayoral year, Peter held monthly coffee mornings on the first Saturday of each month at Cowbridge Town Hall to raise money for Prostate Cymru. In the spring, Peter organised two further fundraising events for the charity.

The first event was a sold out concert on Friday 13th March. The concert featured the popular Rock Choirs from Cowbridge, Bridgend and Pontyclun in addition to soloists Verity-Belle Atkinson and Sarah Maurice. The second event was a gourmet charity dinner at The Bear Hotel. The dinner was accompanied by entertainment from Mr Moose Productions who performed the classic episode ‘Communication Problems’ from hit BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers.

Prostate Cymru would like to thank Councillor Peter Knapp for his brilliant fundraising efforts and his support of the charity.

Prostate Cymru would also like to thank the Mayor of Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town 2015 – 2016, Councillor David Morris, who has chosen Prostate Cymru as one of his nominated charities along with the Motivational Learning Trust. David will be fundraising for the charity through monthly coffee mornings at Cowbridge Town Hall on the first Saturday of each month. Further details of future fundraising events will follow.
