Angharad Lloyd-Probert from Llanelli is taking on a massive challenge in 2020 for Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales supporting men with benign prostate disease and prostate cancer. On 19th April, Angharad will be running the Newport Marathon for the charity in support of her husband.
Now in its third year, the Newport Marathon is fast becoming a firm favourite in the Welsh running calendar. The popular race boasts one of the flattest marathon courses in the UK, taking in the city’s iconic landmarks such as the Transporter Bridge and the beautiful scenery of the Gwent levels including picturesque medieval villages and coastal wildlife. Starting and finishing on Newport’s vibrant riverfront, the course is a single loop route.
Angharad is fundraising on JustGiving and welcomes any contribution to her fundraising to help men in Wales affected by prostate cancer, the most common cancer diagnosed in men.
