Dinas Powis Rotary Tour de Belgium

A team from Dinas Powis Rotary Club in the Vale of Glamorgan are embarking on a cycling challenge in aid of Prostate Cymru and the Rotary International Fund, which supports water aid treatments, shelter boxes and other global emergency causes. The event will take place from Thursday 20th April to Sunday 23rd April.

The 110km challenge will begin in Calais and the cyclists will be able to enjoy the scenic route of country lanes, corn and poppy fields to the French/Belgian border and into Flanders. Once in Belgium, the team will cycle along the coast visiting Nieuwpoort, Blankenberge, Het Zwin and the Belgian/Dutch border town of Sluis. Finally, a picturesque route adjacent to a canal will take the team to their final destination of Bruges. During their challenge, Dinas Powis Rotary Club has organised to meet with the rotary clubs of Nieuwpoort and Bruges West.

The club would like to thank Mainline Coaches in Gilfach Goch, CJ Contract Services in Barry and DFDS Seaways for supporting the team through transport and ferry crossings for the event.
