Elijah in St David’s

On Saturday 9th April the Milford Haven Music Festival will hold its most prestigious event ever, the Mendelssohn oratorio “Elijah” in the iconic setting of St David’s Cathedral, which holds 500 people, in aid of Prostate Cymru.

Our Elijah will feature four of Wales’ most promising young singing talents. Baritone Gary Griffiths, who represented Wales in Cardiff Singer of the World 2013, will take the title role. The other soloists are Welsh National Opera’s Camilla Roberts (Soprano) and Rebecca Afonwy-Jones (Mezzo-Soprano) and Pembrokeshire’s own star tenor Trystan Llyr-Griffiths. They will be accompanied by the 2014 Choir of the Year – CF1 Choir, the superb British Sinfonietta Orchestra and organist Huw Tregelles-Williams. Our conductor will be the Llangollen International Eisteddfod director, Eilir Owen-Griffiths.
