Glyn Abbey Golf Day

Glyn Abbey Golf Club in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire is holding a charity golf day on Saturday 22nd August for Prostate Cymru in memory of Dai Gravell, a former member of the club. Participants will be teeing off between 9am and 2pm on the day.

A former Welsh Golf club of the year (2009), the Glyn Abbey golf course offers players amazing views over the Gwendraeth Valley and beautiful wooded surroundings. The course was completed in 1990, built on land reclaimed from an open cast mine and has one of the best course layouts in South Wales courtesy of renowned course architect Dr Martin Hawtree.

The Dai Gravell Memorial Day in aid of Prostate Cymru allows both team and individual entries. A team of 4 can register for £100 and an individual member’s entry price is £12 per person with a percentage of each entry fee being donated to Prostate Cymru. In addition to the round of golf, there will also be competitions such as nearest the pin, longest drive, best man and best lady. The day will conclude with an auction, raffle and two course hot buffet.
