Royal Navy Exercise Challenge

HMS Richmond is deploying overseas for eight and a half months. During this period four sailors are undertaking a challenge to raise money for Prostate Cymru and the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity. Lieutenant Commander Jim Sampson, Lieutenant Thomas Stapley-Bunten, Chief Petty Officer Tim Cox and Able Seaman Connor O’Connell will be using the ship’s rowing machines and exercise bikes in addition to running the upper deck to cover the equivalent distance of Twickenham to the Southern tip of India and back. The sailors will be covering more than 10000 miles through their exercise challenge!

The four sailors have set up a Virgin Money Giving page for anyone to sponsor the challenge while they are deployed: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserPage.action?userUrl=F239&faId=554300&isTeam=true
