Date Held: June 30th, 2018

Celebrating five years, The Big Walk returns for 2018 on Saturday 30th June. The longest and most challenging group charity walk in Wales, the popular event is a physical and mental challenge as participants walk 30 miles from the Principality Stadium, Cardiff to Kenfig Hill RFC, Bridgend in nine hours.

The Big Walk was launched in 2014 to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cymru. In its inaugural year, 55 keen walkers took on the challenge. In 2015, the number of participants more than trebled to 185 and in 2016, an impressive 286 people took part in the event. Last year, an amazing 352 walkers took on the challenge. Surprise celebrity guests start the walk each year and over the last four years we have been joined by Warren Gatland OBE, Lloyd Ashley, Rhys Priestland, Gethin Jenkins, Owen Teale and Sir Gareth Edwards CBE.

If you would like to take part in The Big Walk 2018 visit our dedicated event website and click ‘Enter Today’. The entry fee is £20 for the event and we ask that a minimum of £20 is also raised in sponsorship.

We also offer corporate packages for businesses looking to enter teams of 10 or more. Last year our first corporate teams, Snowdrop Independent Living and Panasonic Cardiff, took part in the event.
