Willmott Dixon Team Challenges

Two teams from the Wales and West region of construction firm Willmott Dixon will be taking part in events in October to raise money for Prostate Cymru.

In July, Prostate Cymru visited Willmott Dixon’s Eastern High site in Cardiff and delivered a prostate awareness session to staff as part of a series of talks for the company. The talk highlighted important information about men’s health, benign prostate disease and prostate cancer. Following the talk, staff at the site decided to fundraise for the charity. A team of eight will be taking on the tough but fun Chepstow Stampede 10K obstacle race at Chepstow Racecourse on Saturday 21st October. The team consisting of Jarrad Owen, Daniel Fudge, Matthew Walsh, John Pritchard, Steve Milton, Kim Sweet-Roberts, Sam Withers and Andy Dore are fundraising at work and online via JustGiving: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/wdchepstowstampede

Another team of Willmott Dixon staff, inspired to help #SaveTheMalesInWales after learning about the prevalence of prostate cancer in Welsh men, will be getting on their bikes to support the charity. The team consisting of Neal Stephens, Darren Gravell, Nigel Talbot, Simon Williams, Ed Wilson, Paul Wyatt, Paul Andrews, Charlie Evans, Nigel Harris, David McCarthy, Ryan Williams and Julian Morgan will be taking part in the Cyclone24 challenge on Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd October. Cyclone24 is the ultimate cycling endurance challenge where teams battle physical exhaustion and mental fatigue as they take to the velodrome track in teams of six to relay cycle throughout a 24 hour time period. The team are fundraising on JustGiving: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/willmottdixonwaleswest
