Welcome to Prostate Cymru

Five Valley Sportive

This Sunday, 31st August hundreds of cyclists will take part in the Five Valleys Sportive for Prostate Cymru.

The challenge starts at 9am at Margam Park with Olympic and World Champion Nicole Cooke MBE leading the cyclists on one of her favourite courses.

There are two routes; the longest route being 72 miles, which starts at the historic and magnificent Margam Park, journeys East through Talbot Green, then North via the monstrous Bwlch roads to Hirwaun, then heading West towards Cimla and back around to Margam. The second and shorter route, 54 miles, takes a similar path but cuts across from the Bwlch to Pont Rhyd Y Fen. It is sure to be a great day’s cycle.

Prostate Cymru has teamed up with Castell Howell, who have generously donated to the cause and will be providing a refreshment stall for the riders.

Speaking about their sponsorship of the event, Castell Howell’s Managing Director, Brian Jones MBE said, “We are proud to be associated with Prostate Cymru and hope that our support will contribute in some way to defeating cancer entirely.”

The team at Prostate Cymru would like to thank Castell Howell and all the companies that have supported and or donated to the Five Valleys Sportive helping to make a difference in Wales.

Keep an eye on the Prostate Cymru’s twitter for updates from the Sportive. To all those taking part good luck!
