Marathon Cheque Presentation

Jon Bell ran the London Marathon earlier this year and raised £650 in support of the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru.

Jon is a former amateur Rugby League international who decided to dedicate his marathon run to the memory of the late Ray Williams OBE who sadly passed away last year. Ray was a former Secretary of the Welsh Rugby Union and founded the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru in 2014. Since the group’s inception over £70,000 has been raised in the county in support of Prostate Cymru.

Jon explained, “When I heard what Ray had achieved in sport, the great work he had carried out in respect of Prostate Cymru and that so many men are affected by prostate cancer throughout the country I felt that it was appropriate that I raised money for his favourite charity ”
