Prostate Cymru Runners Raise £9000 at the London Marathon

We are incredibly proud to announce that four amazing runners represented Prostate Cymru at this year’s London Marathon, raising a remarkable total of £9000 to support our vital work across Wales.

Taking on the iconic 26.2-mile challenge, each of our runners demonstrated not only physical strength and determination but also an inspiring commitment to the cause of improving men’s health.

Together, they have made a significant impact, and we are beyond grateful for their efforts.

Among our runners was Alison, who raised an outstanding £3,800, showing incredible dedication both in training and in her fundraising. Oliver also gave an impressive performance, contributing £2,879 towards our mission. Thomas added a generous £1,218 to the total whilst Prostate Cymru’s own, Owen, brought in a fantastic £1,103.

Each of these runners went above and beyond, and we are truly thankful for their hard work and heart.

The money raised will go directly toward funding our core projects — from raising awareness of prostate disease and encouraging early diagnosis, to supporting cutting-edge medical research, improving equipment in Welsh hospitals, and delivering specialist training for healthcare professionals.

To Alison, Oliver, Thomas, and Owen we would like to say thank you. You’ve helped shine a spotlight on a cause that too often goes undiscussed, and you’ve made a real difference in the lives of countless men and their families.

If you’ve been inspired by their story and would like to get involved — whether by taking part in a challenge event, hosting your own fundraiser, or simply learning more — we’d love to hear from you.
