Welcome to Prostate Cymru

Prostate Cymru’s Big Cycle, traditionally taking in a 54 mile or 72 mile route through the Five Valleys, is back, but with a difference. This year it’s about challenging yourself. Whether your goal is to beat your personal best, or challenge your friends, family, or members of your cycling club, the choice is yours.

You don’t have to be a seasoned cyclist to take part in The Big Cycle this year, you are able to complete the ride at your own pace and set yourself a challenge this September that suits you.

Sign up and receive your welcome pack including:

  • Cycle chart to track your miles
  • Sponsorship form
  • Event bib

To support you in this special Big Cycle we have created an exclusive cycle chart where you can map your progress as if you’re doing the real thing. Imagine yourself at the starting line, Margam Park, then passing the regular stops and challenges along the way including some of South Wales most beautiful scenery, the Rhigos climb and The Bwlch climb. You can then celebrate by sharing your finish line pictures with us on social media!

This year more than ever we need your support. So please show your support and join in where and when you can.

We are so excited to see your photos and videos on social media spreading awareness and showing your support across Wales. Keep us up to date with hashtags #TogetherinSpirit2020 and #SavetheMalesinWales

It’s easy to take part, just click here to register and make your £10 donation.

If you’re able to fundraise, that would be amazing, but not compulsory. As an extra thank you, everyone who raises over £30 will receive a commemorative medal on completion of the ride.

We may not be able to cycle together this year, but we can be together in spirit. Why not encourage your friends, family and colleagues to get involved? How about challenging each other to ride the miles the quickest?

Fundraising as a group can be really fun, especially in lockdown as a way to feel connected.

Please support us in September in support of men in Wales and their families fighting prostate disease and cancer.

If you would like more information regarding the event, please email the coordinator at chris.leyshon@prostatecymru.com.
