On the afternoon of Monday 20th May, members of the Carmarthenshire Friends of Prostate Cymru Andrew Brown and Mike Dingley-Jones visited the head office of Morganstone in Llanelli for a special cheque presentation. Construction and housing companies Morganstone and Westacres chose to support two charities in 2018: Prostate Cymru and Alzheimer’s Society Cymru. Both charities hold personal importance to many people in the organisations.
On 22nd September 2018 Morganstone held a special charity ball to celebrate their ten year anniversary. The glamorous black tie event took place at The Vale Resort in Hensol, Vale of Glamorgan. Over 250 guests including Morganstone employees, family members, valued clients, partners and supply chain representatives attended the celebratory event.
The evening, hosted by renowned radio presenter Kevin Johns, included a three course meal, fun games, a reflective and passionate speech from Managing Director Ian Morgan, a charity raffle, live entertainment from the Madassa Soul Band and lots of dancing!
The anniversary ball raised an incredible £10,000 and each charity was presented with £5000 at the presentation on 20th May by Managing Director Ian Morgan and Director Tonia Morgan. Prostate Cymru is extremely grateful for this generous donation from Morganstone, a company the charity works with regularly to provide workplace awareness talks for.
Presenting the cheque Ian Morgan said: “At Morganstone we place a high value on the work we carry out both in the community and for charity. It was a pleasure to hand this money over and I’d like to thank everyone who donated or played a part in raising the money at our 10th Anniversary Ball last year.”
