Welcome to Prostate Cymru

Carmarthen Market’s Morwen Davies raises funds for Prostate Cymru.

Morwen Davies raises over £2000 for Welsh Men's Charity Prostate Cymru.

Morwen Davies has raised an incredible £3230 through fundraising in the past 3 years to help those fighting prostate cancer.

After losing her husband Lyn to prostate cancer in 2017 she decided to fundraise at her stall in Carmarthen Market.

Not only did she have a Prostate Cymru collection box, but she also started selling ‘bric a brac’ that her customers provided her with.

The fundraising at her market stall was such a success that Morwen recently donated £2000 to Prostate Cymru.

Prior to this presentation, she had raised £500 for the charity by supporting a fellow stall holder who had ran the Cardiff Half Marathon and £630 to Prostate Cancer UK by supporting a family member who had done “The London Night Walk”.

Receiving the cheque, Prostate Cymru Trustee John Daniels said, “Morwen is a magnificent fundraiser having raised £3,230 since 2017 and with is a wonderful example of someone who has lost a loved one and wants to help others to combat Prostate Cancer and Prostate Cymru is very grateful for her efforts.”

The charity sector has been hit hard by recent events and as a result, we have lost a significant amount of fundraising this year due to lockdown restrictions and social distancing measures and we aren’t through this yet.

We are so grateful for people like Morwen Davies who are helping fundraise for Prostate Cymru.
