Welcome to Prostate Cymru

Cardiff Half Marathon

Training can be hard going but many people find it easier when they set a goal, so why not support Prostate Cymru and raise awareness and funds for Welsh men suffering from prostate disease by taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon.

Annually throughout the UK prostate cancer claims 11,000 lives, with up to 32,000 new cases diagnosed. It is rare in men under 50, but the condition becomes more pronounced and common with age. Help us fight this deadly disease- help us make difference.

This year Prostate Cymru has joined forces with Cardiff Half Marathon as one of its nominated charities. The half marathon has grown from strength to strength, starting in 2003 with under a 1,500 competitors taking part to over 21,000 taking part last year.

The 2015 Cardiff Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 4th October at 9am. The race starts outside Cardiff Castle running through Penarth Marina and Roath Park before finishing on North Road just outside the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Prostate Cymru are looking for runners to take part. Each person is asked to raise £200 and will receive a t-shirt, wristband, nutrition tips and a training programme to help keep you on track.
