Fishguard & Goodwick Rotary Support Prostate Cymru

At a recent meeting of the Fishguard and Goodwick Rotary Club, the Chairman of the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru, Brian Harries, gave a presentation on the work of the charity in the county and the issues surrounding prostate cancer as 1 in 8 men in Wales are affected by the illness.

This charity is raising money to fight the most common cancer in Welsh men whilst making more people aware of the issues surrounding prostate cancer together with working with Health Service professionals to improve the services available. The importance of early detection was emphasised.

President of Fishguard and Goodwick Rotary Club John Denley presented the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru with a cheque for £100 to assist them in their work.
