On Saturday 2nd July, John Heycock took part in the Ultimate Trails event in the Lake District to raise money for Prostate Cymru. Although John was running some of the most scenic parts of the largest national park in England, the trail was also gruelling at times with severe climbs and descents included in the route. John also had to compete with the extreme weather conditions which included wind, sunshine and heavy rain during the day.
Despite the testing weather and terrain, John completed the Ultimate Trails run in eleven hours and forty-five minutes, beating his time of thirteen hours from last year’s event.
