Mayor’s Black Tie Dinner

105 guests joined the Mayor of Cowbridge with Llanblethian, Cllr David Morris, for the final fundraising event of his year in office. Guests dressed up in their finest for the black tie dinner on Friday 29th April at The Bear Hotel in Cowbridge which was held in support of the Mayor’s chosen charities Prostate Cymru and the Motivation and Learning Trust. Renowned local singer and DJ Aubrey Parsons provided entertainment throughout the evening and guests were also treated to a delicious three-course meal.

The Mayor of Cowbridge began fundraising for the two charities when he assumed office in May 2015. His fundraising events included monthly coffee mornings, a strawberry tea, an exciting murder mystery evening and an entertaining Fawlty Towers themed evening. The black tie dinner, his final event of the year, contributed £1600 to the Mayor’s fundraising total.
