The sixth annual President’s Ball was held at The Towers Hotel and Spa, Swansea on Saturday 23rd November. The glamorous black tie event was organised by the charity’s President David Brace OBE. Guests ranging from local businesses, supporters of the charity and a few famous faces attended the event for Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales supporting men with benign prostate disease and prostate cancer.
Guests were treated to a champagne reception, excellent cuisine including a delicious carvery and fine wines. Prostate Cymru ambassador and S4C weather presenter Chris Jones guided everyone through the evening which included an exciting raffle and auction. The list of prizes included an invitation to the Wales Captain’s Run, an exclusive Chepstow Racecourse hospitality package, a limited edition Shane Williams shirt, luxury hampers and an Amazon Echo Dot.
In addition to the excitement of the auction and raffle, a panel discussion took place with special rugby guests including former Wales international and British & Irish Lion Ieuan Evans and current Welsh rugby stars Ken Owens and Hadleigh Parkes. The trio reflected on the national team’s recent success at the Rugby World Cup and Six Nations Grand Slam as well as sharing stories from their careers. Towards the end of the night, guests hit the dancefloor with brilliant live music.
