Spilt Milk’s Sold Out Scratch Night

A sold out scratch night organised by Spilt Milk Theatre raised a fantastic £380.88 for Prostate Cymru. The popular event ‘MilkShake: A Scratch Night’ took place at AJ’s Coffee House on City Road, Cardiff on Saturday 10th March and featured work in progress pieces of theatre about men’s issues being performed to a live audience.

Actors Huw Blainey and Antonio Rastelli hosted the evening, guiding the audience through the different pieces of theatre and the charity raffle. The evening was interpreted through British Sign Language by Sami Thorpe and Liz May, making the event accessible to all.

The scratch night was designed to give writers, directors and actors the opportunity to perform pieces of theatre that are works in progress to a live audience. The six pieces performed were:

• Strangers – Written by James Sarson, directed by Kitty Hughes and performed by Sion Eifion

• People Like Us – Written by Ness Owen, directed by Huw Blainey, performed by Lynwen Haf Roberts and Elian West

• The Rapidee Rap Show – Written by Kevin Jones, directed by Duncan Hallis and performed by Cory Tucker
