Tenby Firemen Pound The Pavements for Prostate Cymru

On the perfect day for running, blue skies, warm weather and wind free Tenby Firemen of old pounded the pavements of the capital city on Sunday 7th October for the Cardiff Half Marathon. Colleagues Clive Webb and Glynne Morgan along with Clive’s daughter Tori represented Prostate Cymru at this wonderful event.

Clive underwent Prostate Cancer surgery back in 2016 at The Heath Hospital in Cardiff. He was operated on by the robotic Da Vinci machine brought to Wales for the use of all prostate cancer sufferers in the country. Prostate Cymru were instrumental in pressurising Y Senedd to purchase the Da Vinci and helps to pay for the ongoing training of the surgeons.

Glynne finished in 2 hours 21 mins while Clive and Tori – running together, completed the race in 2 hours 55 mins. Clive, Glynne and Tori ran in appreciation of the charity’s hard work and the life changing benefits its work has brought to Clive.
