Welcome to Prostate Cymru

Cardiff Half 2016

A team of 27 runners completed the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd October for Prostate Cymru. Cardiff Half Marathon is the second largest road race in the UK after the Great North Run. The popular annual 13.1-mile race took the runners from Team Prostate Cymru around the capital including Cardiff Bay and Roath Park. Following the poor weather conditions the day before, the runners welcomed the dry and sunny weather for the race on Sunday.

The members of Team Prostate Cymru took on the challenging event to raise money and awareness for the charity. Many runners were taking part to show support for family members and friends who have experienced prostate issues such as benign prostate disease and prostate cancer.

Our amazing team completed the Cardiff Half Marathon in impressive times ranging from one hour and thirty-two minutes to just over three hours. Prostate Cymru would like to congratulate all members of the team for their participation in the race and for choosing to support the charity.
