Prostate Cymru is proud to announce that renowned Welsh actor Steve Speirs has become an ambassador for the charity. Steve is excited to be involved with the leading prostate health charity in Wales to support men with benign prostate disease and prostate cancer. He is keen to raise awareness of prostate issues and support the charity’s events including The Big Breakfast, launching later this month.
Born in Merthyr Tydfil, Steve followed his passion for acting by joining the National Youth Theatre of Wales before studying drama at Loughborough University. He is a familiar face to many – his career boasts roles in several hit television shows and films including Extras, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Upstart Crow and Stella. Additionally, Steve has performed theatre, opera and written a film ‘Caught in the Act’. He will soon be starring in character led comedy The Tuckers.
