On Monday 26th January Caldicot Male Voice Choir presented Prostate Cymru Chairman Andy Thomas and committee member Dai John with a cheque for £8000.
Caldicot Male Voice Choir and its supporting social clubs were extremely busy in 2014 with a range of fundraising events for the charity. The events began in January with a Table Top Sale featuring an impressive 60 tables of bric-a-brac and baked goods. Other events included an open practice night/awareness evening, a golf day at St Pierre Country Club and a popular quiz night.
The choir’s cycling club, Cor Meibion Caldicot Cycling Club, held two big sporting events during the summer to contribute to the fundraising efforts. These were an endurance challenge at the Redwick Circuit and an epic ride from Fishguard to Caldicot.
